Shetland Vintage Lace
Heritage Collection
This collection creates a lasting memorial to the knitters of Shetland’s past while also designing a new way for Shetland Lace to be worn and admired.
By using fine silver wire and sourcing Shetland Lace patterns I design and create jewellery that translates the preciousness of Shetland’s knitting heritage into pieces of heirloom jewellery that capture the delicacy and beauty of original Shetland Lace.
Care: These pieces are made using a textile technique and as such behave as textiles. You may need to gently reshape them after they’ve been worn. The Lace cuffs are intended for wearing on special occasions. The earrings and necklace can be worn every day.
Hoop La La Collection
The Hoop La La collection was created to celebrate the Shetland tradition of knitting in the round and the linking together of modern influences with traditional skills. The chain is continuously formed during the making process and represents the passing on of skills from one generation to another. Each hoop is made from several strands of fine silver and enamelled copper wire, the resulting earrings are light yet strong, like Shetlanders.
