In the past every Shetland knitter kept a notebook with handwritten patterns. These were either designed by the knitter or copied from existing knitwear. These earrings are inspired by the coloured dots in Knitters Notebooks used for Fair Isle Knitting. These coloured studs come in three sizes. Each is enamelled using hand ground glass. It is then kiln fired. The glass creates a depth of colour you can lose yourself in.
