Bannocks! These are traditionally baked and eaten in Shetland especially during the colder months and at special occasions like Hogmanay and New Year. 
My knit bannocks are the most talked about items in the Shetland Arts shops! You can knit your own to celebrate New Year!

Join me online to learn the techniques. You will receive a download of the pattern prior to the class. 

You will need Jamieson’s of Shetland spindrift yarn or any 4ply/fingering alternative in a brownish and a whitish colour. To make the ‘Saat Beef’ you’ll need DK in a reddish/pinkish colour.

By the end of the workshop you will have the skills and knowledge to complete your bannock and may have knit at least one or two halves of a bannock.
